Amanda Zdanowicz
SoHo director and founder Amanda is a senior experienced, registered yoga teacher (ERYT-500) accredited by Yoga Alliance International and Yoga Australia. Teaching since 2012, Amanda has studied under numerous international teachers and is the lead teacher/director of training on our 200Hr Vinyasa and 50Hr Yin Yoga teacher training courses. Her creative vinyasa and mindful yin yoga classes incorporate contemporary themes that empower students to take their practice off the mat and into their daily lives.
Alexandra Rodrigues
Senior, experienced teacher (ERYT-500) Alexandra sees yoga as a lifelong, supportive practice that meets you as you are in every season of life. Teaching since 2008, she guides students on a journey of self-discovery and self-healing. As a body psychotherapist and perpetual student of holistic health, Alexandra’s nurturing approach helps students cultivate a calm, steady centre, empowering each person to find lasting peace and vitality on their unique path. Alexandra is the lead teacher/director of training on our 50Hr Restorative Yoga teacher training.
Bec Gee
One of Bec’s favourite things about yoga is the deep connection into the earth and the feeling of being grounded. At the same time, it is also the feeling of joy and lightness that is found within a flowing style of practice. As her teacher used to say, “You can take your yoga practice seriously, but don’t take yourself too seriously!” Bec has been teaching yoga since 2006 and is an experienced, registered yoga teacher (ERYT-500) accredited by Yoga Alliance International. She also offers mat Pilates and believes the strength of Pilates compliments the flow of yoga.
Danique Hanson
As a former gymnast, Danique began practicing yoga to maintain a connection to her love of strong, flexible body movement. Teaching yoga since 2014 Danique is a senior experienced, registered yoga teacher (ERYT-500) with Yoga Alliance and registered continuing education provider (YACEP). Her classes emphasise strengthening the body, and regaining and maintaining mobility, all while find moments of connected bliss. Danique also loves to teach restorative, yin yoga & meditation.
Ellie Gleeson
Ellie’s teaching blends strength with softness and her practice is shaped by a lifelong love of language and inquiry. As a lawyer and editor, Ellie brings precision, clarity and curiosity into the yoga space, honouring the power of movement and the potency of stillness. Ellie had been teaching since 2020 and is a registered yoga teacher (RYT350) with Yoga Alliance and Yoga Australia. Always a student, Ellie’s classes are informed by ongoing study in breathwork, anatomy, philosophy and diverse teaching practices. She offers classes that are grounded, embodied, and intelligent.
Julie Smerdon
Expert yoga teacher Julie has been sharing yoga, meditation, and inspiration since 1998 and was formerly owner of Shri Yoga in Brisbane CBD. Having studied under master teachers in both yoga and meditation, she offers these practices as a pathway to help people cultivate a richer, more joyful experience of life. Blending strong technique with perceptive insights that ignite the soul, Julie is known for her trademark warmth, humour, and enthusiasm. Her masterful teaching style draws from a deep well of knowledge and lived experience.
Kelly Hankin
Kelly has been practicing yoga for most of her adult life and while she was initially drawn to the physical practice, she has come to focus on, and have a greater appreciation for the psychological and physiological benefits of yoga. Kelly’s practice focuses on being introspective as she invites a sense of mindfulness, and a strong connection between the mind and the body.
Kerrie Benham
Kerrie discovered yoga over 25 years ago while navigating the demands of a high-pressure corporate career and raising two young children and has been teaching since 2021. Yoga remains an essential part of her daily life, and she is passionate about sharing its benefits for both mind and body. Kerrie’s classes focus on mindful movement, body alignment and breath awareness, guiding students to connect breath with movement, creating space in the body while settling the nervous system and cultivating inner calm.
Nicole Sanders
Nicole has been a dedicated yogi for most of her adult life and teaching since 2017. As a senior, experienced teacher (ERYT-500) she is passionate about yoga not only as a physical practice, but as a philosophy for everyday living. Her teaching gently weaves mindful movement, breath, and moments of contemplation to nourish the whole self. With a special interest in yoga as a supportive modality for mental health, Nicole teaches from a trauma-aware and mental health-informed perspective and is the lead teacher/director of training on our Trauma Informed Yoga teacher training course.
Nirvana McBeath
Nirvana is a fitness coach and yoga teacher who shares yoga so there is more kindness and love in this world. She weaves in the 8 limbs of yoga and her own experiences of how yoga has helped her in her own life and wellness journey. Expect pranayama and a well considered sequence with a specific theme or peak pose in mind, and lots of options to find your yin/yang balance.
Sheila Ferguson
With her teachings rooted in the Anusara lineage, Sheila’s powerful yet accessible classes and grounded translation of esoteric prose are just some of what she’s come to be known for. An experienced, registered yoga teacher (ERYT-350) with a strong focus on alignment and expansion, her offerings highlight the divine in all bodies, experiences, and challenges that life has to offer. Sheila is the co-director of training on our 200Hr Vinyasa Yoga teacher training course.
Tes Byrnes
Tes has been a lifelong advocate for health and wellbeing. With a passion for holistic wellness she is a qualified personal trainer, Pilates instructor and has been teaching yoga since 2017. Tes’ classes are focused moving with breath, strength and alignment. Classes are combined with flow and long deep stretches.
