A special evening of restorative yoga and yoga nidra (guided relaxation) under the light and powerful energy of the full moon.

Restorative yoga is a deeply relaxing practice designed to activate the parasympathetic nervous system (our relaxation response) and promote healing at a deep cellular level in the body. Using props to the support the body in a series of poses held for 5 - 15 minutes, restorative yoga is ideal for anyone suffering from stress or anxiety or simply seeking time out from a busy schedule to completely switch off.

Yoga Nidra, also known as yoga sleep, is a guided meditation technique that has the power to heal and transform by bringing you very quickly into a state of deep relaxation where restoration and regeneration naturally occur. Practiced lying down in a warm and comfortable environment, you are systematically guided on a journey of awareness through the whole body. Through body sensing and breath awareness, yoga nidra switches you out of fight or flight mode and into the relaxation response, your body’s natural healing state. 20 minutes of yoga nidra is equated with 2-3 hours of sleep.
