Levelling Up: The Path to RYT 350 and Advanced Accreditation

For the professional yoga teacher, growth is a continuous process. While your 200-hour foundation training was the gateway into this profession, the leap to Level 2 Advanced (RYT 350) is where you truly refine your craft and define your niche.

As we approach the final months of 2026, many teachers are looking toward our February 2027 Therapeutic Yoga intake as their formal pathway to advanced accreditation. Understanding the technical side of these hours is essential for planning your career milestones.

The Meaning of RYT 350

In the Australian yoga landscape, RYT 350 is the benchmark for an "Advanced" or "Level 2" teacher. It signals to studios and students that you have moved beyond the basics and have committed to a specialised area of study.

Our 150HR Therapeutic Yoga Teacher Training is specifically designed to bridge this gap. By completing the program, certified RYT 200 teachers are eligible to upgrade their registration to RYT 350 with Yoga Alliance International.

Continuing Education (YACEP)

If you aren't ready for the full Level 2 leap but need to maintain your current registration, each of our therapeutic modules serves as a Continuing Education credit.

For a professional yoga teacher, these hours are more than just a requirement. They are an investment in your therapeutic toolkit, allowing you to offer specialised workshops and private sessions.

Why Accreditation Matters

In an unregulated industry, holding a Level 2 RYT 350 status provides:

  • Professional Credibility: It demonstrates a commitment to high-level, evidence-based education.

  • Employment Opportunities: Most yoga studios are seeking contractors with advanced qualifications and a broad skills set to teach multiple class styles.

  • Specialised Knowledge: It allows you to safely market your classes to specific demographics, such as those with chronic pain or high-stress occupations.

By planning your 2027 enrolment now, you ensure that your professional development stays on track and that you begin the new year with a clear path to your next career tier.
