Q1 Theme ~ The Art of Breathing for Nervous System Regulation

As we move deeper into the year, this workshop invites you to reconnect with one of the most powerful and accessible tools you have - your breath.

From a trauma-informed perspective, we’ll explore how conscious breathing can support your nervous system, helping you gently shift from states of stress, anxiety, or shutdown back toward balance and regulation.

We begin with a short, accessible talk to explore the theory behind the breath and nervous system - because understanding creates empowerment. From there, the workshop becomes deeply experiential.

Through gentle, intentional movement, we’ll focus on releasing and mobilising the thoracic spine to support greater breath capacity. You’ll be guided through a range of pranayama (breathing practices), learning how to work with the breath to both upregulate and downregulate your nervous system - meeting yourself exactly where you are.

We’ll weave breath into movement and yin shapes, allowing the practices to land more deeply within the body and nervous system - not just as technique, but as lived, embodied experience.

The workshop will close with a guided Yoga Nidra, offering space for integration, rest, and the settling of these practices into your whole being.

This offering is grounded in trauma-informed principles of safety, choice, and inclusivity. You are always invited to move at your own pace, to opt in or out, and to honour your body’s wisdom.

No prior experience is needed. Everybody is welcome.

Nicole is an eating disorder, mental health & trauma informed yoga teacher. She has lived experience with her own mental health issues and all the techniques you will be taught, Nicole uses to manage and control her own mental health & well-being.

This workshop will be taught from a trauma & mental health informed perspective. Everybody is welcome. No prior yoga experience required. Investment $65 (Gold & Silver Members 25% discount).
