Q1 Theme ~ Foundations of Safety: Polyvagal Theory & Nervous System Mapping
As we enter a new year, many of us feel the pull toward deeper self-care, steadiness, and attending to our mental and emotional well-being. This workshop offers a supportive and trauma-informed space to begin that journey — gently, sustainably, and with compassion.
In this first quarterly workshop of the Embodied Nervous System Reset series, we explore the foundations of your nervous system, the principles of Polyvagal Theory, and how to map your own states with clarity and self-understanding. You’ll learn how to “meet yourself where you are,” recognise your body’s cues without judgment, and discover simple ways to guide yourself back towards regulation.
We’ll weave together gentle movement to meet sympathetic energy, restorative shapes to soften into safety, and a guided rest meditation to settle and restore.
This offering is grounded in trauma-informed principles of safety, choice, consent, and inclusivity — everybody is welcome. All bodies, all identities, all levels of experience. No prior knowledge is needed.
It’s a supportive and empowering way to begin your year with intention, nervous system awareness, and practices that nourish your whole self.
Nicole is an eating disorder, mental health & trauma informed yoga teacher. She has lived experience with her own mental health issues and all the techniques you will be taught, Nicole uses to manage and control her own mental health & well-being.
This workshop will be taught from a trauma & mental health informed perspective. Everybody is welcome. No prior yoga experience required. Investment $60 (Gold & Silver Members 25% discount).
