As we continue our countdown to the February 2027 Therapeutic Yoga intake, we shift our focus to one of the most misunderstood and transformative styles of practice: Yin Yoga.
If you are a yoga teacher looking to add depth to your offerings, or an enthusiastic student seeking a deeper understanding of your own body, our 50HR Yin Yoga Teacher Training module offers a profound exploration of the quiet side of yoga.
Beyond the Muscle: The Science of the Fascia
While most "Yang" styles of yoga (like Vinyasa) focus on the rhythmic contraction and extension of muscles, Yin Yoga targets the "cool" tissues of the body: the tendons, ligaments, and the deep network of fascia.
By holding poses for extended periods (usually three to five minutes) in a state of muscular relaxation, we apply a gentle "stress" to these connective tissues. This process helps to hydrate the fascia, improve joint mobility, and clear energetic blockages along the body’s meridian lines.
What You Will Learn in the 50HR Module
Our Yin module is designed to give you a complete theoretical and practical foundation. We explore:
Functional Anatomy: Learning why every body is structurally different and how to adapt Yin poses for individual skeletal variation.
Meridian Theory: Understanding the connection between specific yoga postures and the energetic pathways used in Traditional Chinese Medicine.
The Art of Sequencing: How to create a balanced Yin flow that moves energy effectively through the organ systems.
Mindfulness & Meditation: Techniques to help students navigate the mental and emotional "edges" that arise during long, still holds.
A Path to Advanced Certification
The 50hr Yin module is a key pillar of our 150HR Therapeutic Yoga pathway. For teachers, it provides essential credits toward an RYT 350 upgrade. For practitioners, it provides the tools to take responsibility for your own physical and emotional longevity.
Whether you are looking to teach Yin professionally or simply want to understand the "Why" behind the practice, this module invites you to slow down and listen to the wisdom of the body.
